WTB Gamakatsu Multiflex 5.0

It was just an observation that I was not 100% certain of, but I think it might relate to rod prefs. Hard to say as most of my thoughts are half baked.

I consider upstream far more challenging than down. I always think of you when I fish upstream. Davis has it dialed in.

In general that is what makes rod preferences of an angler so specific and not universal. We often have to dig into so many things. It is also what is great about your resource. Objectivity…

Thanks for engaging in these thoughts!

There is definitely an aspect that is us. Having the skill to use a tool properly and the experience to understand the utility of its attributes.

Most of us are still early in our tenkara journey. In general, i feel it can take years to really understand a piece of equipment. In general, I see most folk try and unload rods quickly. It is not just tenkara but any activity. Folk try to buy the best without fully understanding what they are buying or missing.

I thought I would share this. This is a legacy archived doc that best explains some tactics for big fish hunting. I am not a big fish hunter with tenkara but have found this helpful when I get an incidental…BIG fish.
